About these terms

These terms apply to the Scales Parfum affiliate program (the "Program"). Scales Parfum is a US perfume house; every fragrance is blended in-house and made to order. "We", "us" and "the house" mean Scales Parfum. "You" means the person who joins the Program. By creating an affiliate account, you agree to these terms.

Who can join

You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States to join. Signup is open: you enroll by creating an account on our affiliate portal, operated for us by GoAffPro. We may decline any signup, and we may remove any affiliate from the Program, at our discretion.

Commissions

You earn a commission on qualifying sales: orders placed on scalesparfum.com through your referral link or code. Commission is 30% of the qualifying net sale. Net sale means the amount the customer paid for the products, and does not include:

• shipping and handling
• sales taxes
• orders that are cancelled, refunded, replaced or charged back
• free refills

We may change commission rates, and which products qualify, with notice to you by email or in your dashboard. Changes apply to sales made after the notice.

Discount codes for your followers

We may give you a personal discount code for your followers to use at checkout. The discount, and which products it applies to, are set by the house and may change. Codes cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so, and may not be posted on coupon or deal sites.

Tracking

Sales are credited to you through your referral link or your code. When someone visits through your link, a cookie in their browser remembers the referral for a limited period, so the sale can be credited to you if they order. If a customer clears their cookies, uses another device, or arrives through another affiliate's link or code, the sale may not be credited to you. Our records of credited sales are final.

Payouts

Commissions are paid weekly or monthly. Payouts are sent by Cash App by default; other methods, such as PayPal, are available on request. All sales are final, and a bottle damaged in transit must be reported to us within 7 days of delivery. To allow for those reports and for payments to settle, a commission becomes payable 30 days after its order ships. If an order is cancelled, or refunded or replaced because it arrived damaged, the commission on it is reversed, and any amount already paid may be deducted from your future commissions. We pay out once your payable balance reaches at least $15; smaller balances carry over to the next payout. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings, and we may ask for tax information (such as a Form W-9) before paying you.

What is not allowed

• Spam of any kind, including unsolicited email, messages or comments.
• Bidding on "Scales Parfum", "Scales" or similar terms in paid search ads, or using them in ad copy or domain names.
• Misleading or false claims about our products, prices, shipping or refills.
• Calling our fragrances clones, dupes or copies, or claiming they are, or are made by, any designer brand. Scales Parfum creates its own fragrances.
• Self-referrals: ordering through your own link or code, or for your own household.
• Fake orders, cookie stuffing, or any other way of creating credit for sales you did not genuinely refer.

Commissions earned in breach of these rules are not payable, and we may remove you from the Program.

Disclosure

US law (the FTC Endorsement Guides) requires you to disclose your relationship with us. Every post, video or story that includes your link or code must clearly say that you may earn a commission, for example with "#ad" or "#affiliate", placed where people will see it before they click.

Using our brand

We give you a limited, revocable right to use the Scales Parfum name, logo and product images that we provide, only to promote the house in the Program. Do not change them, or present yourself as speaking for the house. When the Program ends for you, you must stop using them.

Independent contractor

You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these terms makes you our employee, agent, partner or joint venturer, and you may not make promises or agreements on our behalf.

Ending participation

You may leave the Program at any time. We may suspend or end your participation at any time, with or without notice. When it ends, we will pay commissions already earned under these terms, except those earned through a breach of them.

Limitation of liability

The Program is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits, arising from the Program, and our total liability to you will not exceed the commissions paid to you in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated version will appear on this page with a new date, and joining or staying in the Program after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
