At Scales Parfum™, every order is carefully prepared, packaged, and shipped in accordance with applicable fragrance shipping requirements. Please take a moment to read our shipping policy before placing your order.
PROCESSING & DELIVERY TIME
Most orders are processed within 2–4 business days, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays.
Please allow approximately 3–12 business days from the date your order is placed for normal processing and delivery.
Processing and delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Holidays, weather, carrier delays, high order volume, transportation requirements, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery times.
WHY DOES PERFUME COST MORE TO SHIP?
Simply put: perfume costs more to ship because it contains alcohol and is regulated as a hazardous material (HazMat) for transportation.
Because of this classification, carriers cannot always handle and transport perfume like an ordinary package.
Perfume shipments may require special packaging, special labeling and markings, additional handling, and approved ground transportation. These requirements can increase the cost of shipping compared with many ordinary products.
Every company that legally ships alcohol-based perfume must follow the applicable transportation and carrier requirements. These are not rules created by Scales Parfum™.
We do our best to keep our shipping charges reasonable while making sure your fragrances are shipped safely, legally, and properly.
WHY CAN PERFUME TAKE LONGER TO ARRIVE?
We understand that customers have become accustomed to extremely fast delivery from companies such as Amazon. Perfume is different.
Because alcohol-based fragrances are regulated for transportation, they may be restricted from ordinary air shipping and required to travel using an approved ground shipping service.
Instead of simply being placed on an airplane and traveling across the country in a matter of hours, your fragrance may have to make much of its journey by truck and ground transportation.
That can mean a few extra days in transit.
So if shipping costs a little more or your fragrance takes a little longer to arrive, Scales Parfum™ is not inflating the shipping price or unnecessarily delaying your order. The additional cost and time are largely the result of the special shipping requirements that apply to perfume.
We appreciate your patience while your fragrance makes its way to you.
ORDERS CANNOT BE CHANGED OR CANCELLED
ALL ORDERS ARE FINAL ONCE PLACED.
Please review your entire order carefully before completing your purchase.
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be changed, modified, or cancelled, even if it has not yet shipped.
This includes fragrance selections, quantities, and shipping information. We begin processing orders promptly, so please make sure everything is correct before submitting your order.
PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
Please verify your name, street address, apartment or unit number, city, state, and ZIP Code before placing your order.
Scales Parfum™ is not responsible for delays, additional shipping charges, returned packages, lost packages, or misdeliveries resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
Once your order has been placed, the shipping address cannot be changed.
ONCE YOUR ORDER SHIPS
Once your package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, transportation and delivery are handled by the carrier.
Scales Parfum™ cannot guarantee a specific delivery date and is not responsible for carrier delays, weather conditions, holidays, transportation restrictions, service interruptions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
A carrier delay does not automatically qualify an order for a refund, replacement, or cancellation.
LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED PACKAGES
If your package appears to have been lost in transit or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.
Although we cannot control a package once it has been accepted by the shipping carrier, we will make a reasonable effort to assist you in determining what happened and what options may be available.
If your order arrives damaged, please keep the fragrance, bottle, shipping box, shipping label, and all packaging materials. Please take clear photographs of the package and damaged merchandise, as this information may be required to investigate the shipment or make a carrier claim.
Scales Parfum™ reserves the right to request reasonable documentation before considering a claim involving a lost or damaged shipment.
Scales Parfum™ is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after the carrier has confirmed delivery to the address provided with the order, except where otherwise required by law.
RETURNED, REFUSED OR UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES
If a package is returned to Scales Parfum™ because of an incorrect or incomplete address, refusal of delivery, failure to accept or retrieve the package, or another issue not caused by Scales Parfum™, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping charges required to send the package again.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has shipped, except where otherwise required by law.
If a returned order needs to be shipped again, the additional shipping charge must be paid before the package is resent.

We do our best to keep shipping costs reasonable and get your fragrances to you as quickly as permitted while following applicable shipping requirements.
